Dawn (Nonny) Burgess, 55, is at peace with her heavenly father after her 11 year battle with breast cancer.

She faithfully attended The Lighthouse Worship Center, was a registered nurse and was a mother figure to her family.

She was preceded in death by an infant child and her mother, Norma McCoy.

Surviving are her husband, David Burgess; daughter of the home, Alexis Burgess; step daughter, Caraline Craft and husband Brandon of Wise, Va.; step grandchildren, Brayden Craft and Emma Craft and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dawn Burgess will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Lighthouse Worship Center in Wise, VA with Pastor Roger Barker and Nathaniel Maggard officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Worship Center in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 6, 2021 in the Wise Cemetery, Wise, VA. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 A.M.
