Danny Ray "Boone" Mickles, 71, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was a hard working man that would do any job to provide for his family.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua David Mickles; his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Lillie Winkle Mickles; daughter, Opal Hammonds and husband Kenny; son, Daniel Joshua Mickles and Kellie Moore; brother, Billy Mickles; sisters, Connie Mickles and Lois Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Danny Ray Mickles will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Ricky Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
