Danny Lee Fannon, 68, passed away on April 13, 2022, at his home in Morristown, TN surrounded by his family. He worked for 33 years in the coal mines supporting his family. He was an avid golfer that also loved to hunt and fish. On a typical Sunday, you would find him on a golf course or at home watching a NASCAR race. He touched so many people with his stories, laughter, and love. If you knew him, you loved him. He will be dearly missed by everyone. His greatest blessing was his six grandchildren that called him Pappy and his sugar booger, Lacey Brooke.

Preceded in death by his parents, JD and Pearl Fannon. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda Fannon; daughter, Angela and son Chad Hughes of Morristown, TN; son, Michael and daughter Megan Fannon of Johnson City, TN; daughter, Brandy and son Brad Day of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jordan Meade, Sierra Hughes, Ethan Bolling, Kylee Brooke, Jackson Day, and Gage Fannon; brother, Donald (Jennifer) Fannon; Tommy (Georgia) Fannon; sister Sue (Larry) Tickles; brother Jacky (Jackie) Fannon; sister Kaye (Jerry) Lawson; and several special nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 15, 2022, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Curt Bond officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Jackson Cemetery Sandy Ridge.
