BIG STONE GAP, VA.               JUNE 30, 2023

Credia Jean Baker, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Credia was known by many as the Vendor Lady. She worked as a merchandiser for many companies operating all over the Tri-Cities, West Virginia and Kentucky. During her over 20 years of merchandising she made many friends all over the region.

She was an avid Equestrian attending many local events, shows, and pulls as well as attending church and religious events such as March for Jesus. However, she spent most of her time being an amazing mother, sister, and friend with her greatest joy in life being with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Doris J. Baker and her infant sister, Marlene Baker.

Surviving are her mother, JoAnn Baker of Big Stone Gap, VA; her son and daughter, Brent Baker and Shyra Stacy of Big Stone Gap, VA; her two sisters, Patricia Ray of Wise, VA and Sherry Baker of Big Stone Gap, VA; her brother, Tim Baker and wife Kim of Denver, CO; grandson, Matthew Stacy of Big Stone Gap, VA; two nephews, Travis Mullins and Kelly Baker; two nieces, April Osborne and Tiffany Moore; several loving cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Credia Baker will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Robbie Dockery officiating. Burial will follow at the Stapleton-Hubbard Cemetery in Pound, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at Sturgill Funeral Home, Wise, VA.
