Christina Gail Shepherd Meade, 51, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, VA.

Christina was a graduate of JJ Kelly High School, Virginia Tech where she received her BA and the University of South Carolina for her Masters Degree. Christina loved her library. She was employed at the City of Bristol Public Library as Head of Technical Services. She also loved her travels and her animals. She had a special place in her heart for homeless dogs and cats and did volunteer work for the Wise County Humane Society.

Christina is survived by her husband, Matthew Meade; mother, Joyce Shepherd; sisters, Laryssa Shainberg (Josh) and Tiffany Turner (Mike); brother, Jason (Brittney); niece, Cheyenne; nephews, Jonah Shainberg, David Shainberg, Alex Shainberg, Jesse Shepherd, Will Shepherd,  Sam Shepherd, Taylor Rodgers, Ashtain Rodgers; step-nieces and nephews, ShClay Turner, Gracie Turner, Sam Turner, Caroline Turner and Cooper Turner.

All Services will be private.
