Chester William Collins Sr., 73, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at his home. He was a retired employee of the Virginia Iron Coal Company for 31 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Carol Collins; his parents, Lloyd & Maggie Collins, two brothers, Billy Ray Collins and Raymond Collins, and a sister Novella Ford.

Surviving are his sons, Chester William (Autumn Hale) Collins Jr., Mark Anthony (Taylor) Collins, and Timothy Allen (Pamela Yeary) Collins; grandchildren, Brianna Collins, Haley Leonard, Nicholas Collins, Bailey Collins, Conner Collins, Ethan Collins, and Brooklyn Collins; sisters, Carla Faye Collins, and Louella (Harold) Reed; special friend, Phyllis Watts; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 1, 2021, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia. Funeral Service will follow at 2 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Carolyn Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery Norton, VA.
