Cheryl Annette Graves, 58, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Johnson City Medical Center Johnson City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Cora Hale, a sister, Nancy Hale, and brother, Michael Hale.

She attended the St. Paul Assembly of God Church and attended the Castlewood High School.

Surviving is her husband, Michael Graves, a son, James Compton of Bristol, Tennessee, daughter, Megan Compton of Castlewood, Virginia; two brothers, Timothy Hale and Christopher Hale both of Castlewood, Virginia; three sisters, Debbie (David) Marshall of Castlewood, Virginia, Linda (Pat) Kern of Sumter, South Carolina, and Pat (Gary) Carter of Castlewood, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21, 2025, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Scott Million officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Sexton Family Cemetery Sagwa Drive Coeburn, Virginia.
