Charles Gregory Counts, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leon & Virginia Lee Holbrook Counts; two brothers, Jimmy Counts, and Jerry Leon Counts Sr.

He was a graduate of John I. Burton High School Norton, Virginia; a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force, a Life member of the Coeburn V.F.W. Post #8652.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Counts; son, Greg (Amy) Counts, stepsons, Tim Torres, and John (Lori) Torres; daughters, Kellie Stamey, Jackie Franklin, Tammi Counts, Charity (Jay Hopkins) Counts; two brothers, Tommy (Patricia) Counts, and Tracy (Elizabeth) Counts; four sisters, Brenda (John) Puckett, Judith (Zane) Hale, Debbie (Roger) Bell, and Janie Adkins; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted 3 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Greear-Rose Cemetery Crab Orchard Section of Coeburn, VA. with Pastor Johnny Adkins officiating.
