NICKELSVILLE, VA                       SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

Cassie Denise Gilley, 53, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, Tennessee.

Cassie was one of the kindest, most positive people you would have ever met. She loved her Lord and she was a blessing to everyone.

No matter how sick she was, she was always more concerned about others. She loved going to Church and singing was her joy. She was not a complainer. She accepted things as they were and always made the best of life.

Cassie is survived by her parents, Judy Strouth Gilley and Kenneth Glendale Gilley of Nickelsville; her sisters, Tammy Stallard and husband Mark of Pound, VA and Amber Taylor and husband Cory of Nickelsville, VA; nieces, Hannah Dearry and husband Josh of Coeburn, VA and Natalie Taylor of Nickelsville, VA; nephew, Jacob Stallard and wife Haley of Morristown, TN; several aunts and uncles who shared their love for her; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Cassie Gilley will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Roger Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Strouth-Lane Cemetery in Pound, VA. Pallbearers will be Cory Taylor, Mardy Clawson, Josh Dearry, Mark Stallard, Jacob Stallard, and Paul Gilley, Jr. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. till time of services at 12:00 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
