Brent Channing West, 64, of Clintwood, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, unexpectedly.

Born in California and raised in Wise, Virginia. Brent graduated from J.J. Kelly High School in Wise, Virginia. He also attended Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia, He was employed by Gas Field Services in Rosedale, Virginia.

To anyone privileged and blessed to have known Brent will remember him as big-hearted, incredibly quick-witted and known for loving his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom West.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Jones West; mother, Gaye West; sons, Channing West (Sarah) and Evan West; granddaughter, Erin West; sisters, Kim Skeen and husband Berlin and Krissy West (Shane); niece and nephew, Leannza and Josh Lyke; and a host of other relatives and friends. Brent dearly loves his fur babies, Trump, RIP, Petie and Sassy.
