NORTON, VA.                      SEPTEMBER 20, 2022

Bonnie Lou Sloce, 70, went to sleep at Johnson City Medical Center and woke up at the feet of the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Bonnie was a member of Hopkins Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her family was the next most important thing in her life. She enjoyed making crafts and watching the flowers in her yard get prettier every year. She retired from Lowes as a department manager and always enjoyed her work family.  She also enjoyed working the election polls each year and serving her community.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Floyd Jr. and Mabel Smith; her brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Christine Smith and a niece, Kimberly Croley.

Surviving are her husband, Freddie Sloce of Norton; two sons, Robbie Webb of Norton and John Webb and wife Amy and grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren of Norton; stepson, Brandon Sloce and wife Erin and grandchildren, Cameron and Teagan of Glenburnie, MD; brother, Worley Smith and wife Delores of Wise; sister, Gale Tideswell and husband Richard of Midlothian, VA and a host of other relatives and close friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Johnson City Medical Center, Norton Community Hospital, specifically Dr. Campbell and nurse Susan, Dr. Capalad, Dr. Cook of the Cancer Center, Lifecare Ambulance, and Mountain Regional Home Health, Duffield nurses.

Funeral services for Bonnie Sloce will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise VA with Pastor Brandon White officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. till time of services at 7 P.M. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Addington-Hensley Cemetery Wise VA. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M Thursday at Sturgill Funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
