Billy Wayne Greear, 84, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Virginia Horne Greear.

He was a retired employee of 37 years with CSX Railroad receiving several awards. He was a member, Deacon, and song leader at Mary's Chapel, and was an Avid Golfer.

Surviving is his wife, Patsy S. Greear; a son, Steven Greear of Coeburn, Virginia; a daughter, Sandra Anna Kate Greear of Abingdon, Virginia; two sisters, Sharon Ramsey and Brenda Corder both of Bristol, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 15, 2025, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Puckett officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, May 16, 2025, in Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Va. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. to go in procession to the cemetery.
