Billie Jean Jones, 86, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was of the Christian Faith, and devoted member of the United Church of God for 40 plus years. Her faith and family are what she lived for.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lona Mae Davis, father, Charlie B. Davis, her husband, William "Bill" Jones, son, William "Junior" Jones, sisters, Jearline Lawson, and Pauline Osborne, nephew, Sonny Osborne, and a special friend, Margaret Dooley.

Surviving is her sons, Scotty Jones (Brenda) of Abingdon, VA., James Jones (Viola) of Wise, VA., daughters, Regina McConnell (Ricky) of Abingdon, VA., Sandy Cantrell (Roger) of Wise, VA., and Jackie Moore (Gary) of Coeburn, Va., brothers, James Davis of Cleveland, Ohio, Gary Davis (Joyce) of Bremen, GA., and Charles Davis (Christine) of Kingsport, TN., sisters, Wilma Peters of Bristol, VA., Arlene DePriest of Coeburn, VA., twelve  grandchildren, Melissa McConnell, David McConnell, Christopher McConnell, Heather Statzer, Lona Stair, Amber Kern, Joshua Jones, Jessica Jones, Summer Cantrell, Lindsey Campbell, Bradley Moore, Emily Moore, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6, 2022, 12:30 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Charles Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Park Castlewood, VA.
