Betty Faye Stanley, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Wise, VA she lived a life full of love, compassion and unwavering faith.

Besides her husband Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, Thurston Fate Green and Anna Bell Bennett Green; sister, Lois Bevins; and three brothers, Allen Green, Robert Green and Joe Green.

Betty was a devoted wife to her late husband, Franklin Stanley. A loving mother to her children Rebecca Collins, Roger Collins and wife Debora Collins, Regina Morgan and husband Tracy Morgan, Rhonda Jeck and husband David Jeck and Randall Collins and wife Melissa Collins. Her greatest joy in life came from her role as a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren Keisha Kincer, Brittany Asbury, Chelsea Janezeck, Joshua Collins, Katherine Noll, Alie Collins, David Jeck JR, Caleb Jeck, Jordyn Collins and Cameron Collins and several great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Betty was known for her kindness and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together with her warm smile and gentle spirit. Her home was always open to friends and family, who gathered to enjoy her delicious meals and listen to her captivating stories.

Betty's passing leaves a void in our heart but her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire us. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral services for Betty Stanley will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Gary Stanley officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 5, 2024 in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 A.M. Friday at the funeral home to go to cemetery in procession. In lieu of flowers, Betty would like donations sent to St Jude's Children's Hospital for cancer research for children, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
