It is with great sorrow and hope in the promises of God, we announce the passing of Betty Ann Kern, 72, on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

A gentle soul has journeyed onward, leaving behind the quiet echoes of a life well-lived.

Born among the mountains of Wise County, VA, Betty carried with her a spirit of quiet strength, the steady hands of one who worked diligently, and a heart that held simple joys close.

Though her days among us have drawn to a close, her presence lingers in familiar places in the soft hush of memory, and in the lives forever touched by her own.

Now beyond the bounds of time and sorrow, she rests in peace, and those who remain will honor her memory with every sunrise, every gentle breeze, and every moment of quiet remembrance.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Kern, who remained by her side throughout the years. She shared a special lifelong bond with her brother, Preston London Robinette. In addition, she held a cherished place in the lived of her niece, Tiffany Wingate and husband Caleb, as well as her great-nephews, Elijah London Wingate and Samuel David Wingate, who brought her joy with their youthful spirit and laughter.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, and quiet love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
