Barbara Taylor left this Earth on December 30, 2021, at the age of 76. Barbara was a longtime resident of Wise, VA, but spent the remaining years of her life in Blountville, TN. She was a devout Christian who sang praises of her Lord and Savior whenever she had the chance.

She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Ray "Honey Bear" Taylor; her parents, Mary Elizabeth Cantrell and Cam Cantrell; siblings, Bea Puckett, Geraldine Kelly, Emma Young, Bob Cantrell and her granddaughter Brittany Carter.

Surviving are her seven children and their spouses, Teresa Taylor and her wife Rachael, Sherry Presley and her husband Scott, Stephanie Compton and her husband Robbie, Ray Anthony Taylor and his wife April, Ray David Taylor, Michael Taylor, Monica Jennings and her husband Rad; eighteen grandkids; four great grandkids; her remaining siblings, Velva Wirt, Cam Cantrell Jr., Jim Cantrell, and Donald Cantrell. She also leaves behind her longtime neighbors and closest friends Mary Jo and Lester Prince and Nell "Nana" Asbury.

The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and first responders who helped transport and help heal Barbara over the last four years.

Funeral services for Barbara Taylor will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery Wise, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 1:30 P.M.
