Barbara Ann Simpson, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Scott County, Virginia.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Barbara spent her early years immersed in the arts, learning to play the piano and developing a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity that would stay with her throughout her life. She had a keen eye for interior decorating, a love of painting, and a lifelong passion for collecting treasures that brought her joy.

Barbara's greatest devotion, however, was to her family. She was the keeper of countless memories, always behind the camera or carefully arranging photographs into albums. Her remarkable collection of family photos and rolls of film captured not just moments, but the very spirit of the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Charles Quick and Vivian Adeline (Conner) Quick; her sister, Judy Kellum; and her daughter, Cindy (Cadd) Bostic.

She is survived by her children, Tina Cannon, William H. Simpson, Dawn Rife, Barbara Ann (Cadd) Simmons, and Willard F. Cadd Jr.; her siblings: Donna Distel, Raymond Quick, Ronald Quick, and Terry Quick; fifteen grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Barbara's warmth, creativity, and deep love for those around her leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
