Anthony Alexander Scott, 69, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.

Anthony was a former employee of Glen Finer Homes, Cody Equipment, Joy Mining Machinery and King Coal Motors and a former Member of Norton Rescue Squad.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted Hunter Scott and Mabel Ruth Robinette Scott; brothers, Joe Scott, Mack Scott, Rex Scott and Jack Scott; sister, Barbara Jessee and an infant sister, Elizabeth Scott.

Surviving are a son, William Hunter Scott and wife Whitney; daughter, Alexandra Scott Osborne and husband Joshua; grandchildren, Brooklyn Scott, Connor Osborne and Madison Osborne; brothers, Gordon Scott, Jerry Scott and wife Cindy, Shannon Scott and wife Shari and Gilmer Scott and wife Gwen; sister, June Sturgill and husband John Paul; brother-in-law, Billy Jessee; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Anthony Scott will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, Va with Pastor Gary Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Family Cemetery, Norton, VA.  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Anthony Scott's grandkid's college fund at New Peoples Bank in Norton, VA.
