Angela Renee Taylor, 55, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

She was born in Wise, Virginia, to Diana Salyer and Dale Stout.

Angela grew up in the Dry Fork community, where she attended the local Freewill Baptist Church as a child. Throughout her life, she was well regarded as a hard worker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her career, her family, and her home. Her joyful, motherly demeanor touched all who knew her, and she shone brightest during family get-togethers. Angela had a deep affinity for family—not only her own blood relations, but for all those whose lives she touched. Her capacity for love and friendship extended generously to everyone she welcomed into her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Gene Taylor; mother, Diana Salyer; stepfather, Terry Salyer; and sister, Sherry Lyttle.

Surviving are her son, Zachary (Britany) Gene Taylor; fiancé, Mike Richardson and his sons Matt (Stephanie) Richardson and Jordan (Abby) Richardson; his grandchildren Owen and Easton Richardson; father, Dale (Janet) Stout; sisters, Andrea (Ryan) Jaquess, Jennifer (Scotty) Moore, and Courtney Sayler (Josh); nieces, Shiloh (Travis) Brooks, Jaydne Campbell, and special niece, Maddie Toney; great-nieces, Mara Hamilton, Pearly Sue Hamilton, Gracelynn Brooks; nephews, Michael (Sammi) Hamilton, Jonathan (Denise) Hamilton, Jesse Jaquess, Nick Campbell, and Jackson VanHuss; aunts, Lois Salyer and Valice Toney; special cousins, Joe Toney and Charity Paige; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Angela Taylor will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
