Amy Lynn Collins Spivey, 52, left her earthly home for her eternal home on Sunday, July 21, 2024.

Amy was a graduate of Clinch Valley College and a member of Mt. Olive Church in Wise, VA.

Her love for the Lord shined through her, even in the most difficult times. She never complained and always had such a sweet spirit. You would never hear Amy say a negative word about anyone, something we all admired her for. She loved her family fiercely and loved spending time with them.

She was a prayer warrior and spent many hours praying for those she loved. She said many times she was excited to go home to Heaven to see her Daddy and all those who had gone before her. Although our hearts are broken, we celebrate that she has received her ultimate healing, and we give God all the glory. We know when she saw the face of Jesus he said, Well done my good and faithful servant.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Donald "Ducky" Joe Collins; and grandparents, Torrence and Blanche Collins, Billy Ray and Dorothy Masters.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 30 years, Joseph Spivey; mother, Deborah Collins; daughter, Adara Darnell and husband Chris; brother, Jody Collins and wife Chasity; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Amy Spivey will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Brother Jody Collins officiating. Graveside services will be private. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Amy, family requests memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN 38101-9929.
