Coeburn, Virginia December 9, 2013 Curtis Harold Evans, 66, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center Johnson City, Tennessee. He was an employee of Suburban Propane; attended the Mary Martin Presbyterian Church and was an avid lover of classic cars. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Thompson Evans; a son, Curtis Evans and wife, Donna of Coeburn, Virginia; a daughter, Kim Kiser and husband, Joey of Coeburn, Virginia; a brother, Robert (Bob) Evans of Carson, Virginia; three sisters, Alva Jean Marshall of Utica, Michigan; Brenda Austin of Coeburn, Virginia and Deborah Smith of Nickelsville, Virginia; six grandchildren, one grandchild preceded in death; several nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 10, 2013 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia. Funeral Services will follow at 8 P.M. in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Coeburn with the Rev. Bill Crawford and Rev. Donald Harding officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Virginia. The family and friends will meet at 12:15 P.M. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
